Western Food Availabilty near Bang Sue Junction

Was wondering what might be available within walking distance of Bang Sue Junction (railroad station) on the likes of western fast food, ie....McDonalds, etc? Will have a 2 hour layover to get something for breakfast on the way down south. Train food sucks, so would like to take our own, if available. Any place within a short taxi ride would be okay, too. Living in Phayao and eat Thai food 24/7/365...would be nice to find something different. Thanks in advance. pg

There's only a 7/11 down the road.

 

If you have 2 hrs, jump on the MRT and either use the metro mall at Chatujak station or better go to MRT Phahon Yothin, use exit 5 stright into Union Mall where you can gorge on all sorts of western fast food. You could do that trip , eat an dbe back in less than 1 hr easy.

there is a Tescos just up the road, believe there is a KFC but definitely a McDonalds in there

Up....which road? Would that be north....we're coming in on the train from Chiangmai and don't know the area at all. pg

Get off the train, look for the Siam cement, about 0,5km past the entrance on the main road is Tescos (top left hand corner says Supermarket)

right hand side of map you can see bang Sue Junction). Motorcycle taxis next to the entrance to MRT.

Alternatively take the MRT to Tao Poon, then go down the stairs in the direction you came from and Tescos is on the corner (Prachacheun)
