30 Day Stamp for Yearly Visa Overstay?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Ubon Joe,

Applied for my yearly 1 year visa for married to a Thai and recieved 30 day stamp as per normal. Passport was stamped Monday 25th June (Yesterday) It was sent to BKK and i phoned my local immi and they have not recieved it back?

They told the wife not to worry as they sometime comeback late??? Never happened before in all my previous extensions?

My question is, will i get an overstay stamp?

Afaik this is a "report back in 30 days" stamp, it's valid until they either approved or declined your application, not limited to 30 days, so nothing to worry about if you contacted them and they told you it will take longer

The under consideration stamp you have allows you to stay until your extension is approved. The report back date is just that it does not end the under consideration period.

There will be no overstay.
