post
If one travels to Thailand under visa exempt (30 days) entry, can the traveler apply for a single/multiple re-entry permit? I know the question is odd but just want to know whether it is practicable. Thanks.
ubonjoe
A re-entry permit can be issued for any permit to stay. But I don't recall anybody ever getting one for a 30 day visa exempt entry. Getting one for a 30 day visa exempt entry would not be logical because another visa exempt entry could be done that would allow a longer stay.

Unless it's an uncommon situation like if he wants to cross a land border, has 2 visa exempts by land already and just needs a few more days in Thailand after that.
