NRCT organizes exhibition in honour of HM the King’s inventions

National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has organized an exhibition on the 2007 Inventor’s Day (February 2) to honour His Majesty the King, the Father of Thai Invention.

Today, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Theeraphat Serirangsan (ธีรภัทร์ เสรีรังสรรค์) has presided over the opening ceremony of the 2007 Inventor’s Day Exhibition at the office of NRCT. The highlight of the exhibition is the celebration of the HM the King’s patent on the Chaipattana (ชัยพัฒนา) Water Turbine. HM the King of Thailand is the first king in the world who invented a machine for the well-being of his subjects.

In addition, the other purpose of the activities is to promote and publicize Thai inventions in order to boost the country’s competitiveness.

Aside from HM the King’s inventions, there are more than 800 inventions from 14 countries displayed. A number of general people and students have visited the exhibition so far.
