Nothing to do with the NRA, there is no provision in the constitution for public referendums, it is against federal law.  However each state can have a legislative referral, which is a type of referendum, and they can impose gun restrictions on their state, like they have done, and nothing the NRA can do to stop that, other than lobby, which obviously they have but they have not succeeded in preventing restrictions being passed in most states.

Trump voters, as well Trump mount then up shouting fake news and so on and those "white" skinner with red hat "make america great again" goes around US killing everybody.

1- stop gun trade

You're right of course.  What I've noticed is that the NRA--very much like hardcore Trump supporters--are relatively small in number.  But they're very vocal, well-funded, media savvy, and batshit crazy.  That's why our cowardly politicians are deathly afraid of them and will not oppose. 

 

To put it another way, those who are pro-gun-control are not nearly as devoted to the cause.  Just think about it.  Many of these gun owners would literally fight to the death to keep their guns.  Is the other side willing to fight to the death to take it away?  That's why the gun lobby always win. 

Why did nobody in the office have a gun??

Anyone who needs to open dozens of guns probably has an underlying insecurity or disorder they should address..... 

I haven't used a gun in years and feel safe enough in most of the world.....

They have the equivalent of approximately one gun per household but not every household is armed, the militia is voluntary and only 11% of them take their guns home, the rules for obtaining a gun license are strict, not every household is eligible, those housing convicted criminals or the mentally ill cannot have guns in the house.

I appreciate your point, there is actually nowhere, not even the sh!ttiest of shi!ty countries where people hang out in restaurants armed with military weapons just to exercise their right to do so, the only comparable examples are places where they actually have a reason to carry them, such as Yemen.  Of course Canada is a very different situation, their guns are for hunting, as is Switzerland's, theirs are for the militia, and unlike the US, their militia is well regulated and so has the likes of armories in every village.  My point was really that there isn't a direct link to sh!tty countries and unchecked gun ownership, plenty of the worst countries do not allow what some states in the US allow, I do however agree that what they allow does put them down with the sh!tty countries, below them really.

Sorry people, its not the tools that can kill people, its the people that want to kill people. That is where the focus should be.

 

Ahhh, the old "guns don't kill people, people kill people" nonsense.

American tragic situation teaches us that it is, more often than not, people with guns that kill people.

Take away easy access to guns and it becomes a whole lot harder to "kill a bunch of people".
