Thai Airways International Plc has cancelled flights TG 431 (Bangkok-Denpasar) and TG 432 (Denpasar-Bangkok) starting from Friday (June 29)  for safety reasons after Mount Agung volcano erupted on Thursday.

THAI on Friday morning posted on Twitter a message which read: “Due to the eruption of Mt. Agung on Bali Island, flights TG431 & TG432 to and from Denpasar are cancelled starting from today for safety reasons. For the latest updates, please check http://thaiairways.com  or call THAI Contact Center, +662-356-1111.”

The Jakarta Post reported that volcanic eruption forced Bali to declare a closure of Ngurah Rai international airport on the Indonesian resort island.  The eruption sent thick smoke and ash billowing 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) into the air.
