And the news the ones before are ok builds confidence.

But weather conditions favoured bringing out the weakest first. And do you truly believe the boys would have been told about a mishap? The weakest first theory makes total sense to me. Rain may well make the final rescues far more difficult.

It could be that yesterday's press reports that the doctor in the cave chose to send them weakest first were incorrect.

It could also be that nobody happened to mention to the big boss that his plan got changed by the doctor in the cave.

It could well be what you say and could as easily be the complete opposite. Until we are officially informed of the official strategy, we are all seemingly just pissing into the wind.

@MattRiversCNN  Operations to remove the boys and their coach from the cave in northern Thailand have completed for the day, a source tells CNN. Operations likely to resume tomorrow. 8 out so far, 5 to go.

Thanks for all the updates today. You have been a little hero to everybody that wants the real news, and not just listening to if the weak or strong are out first. All have to come out. That´s the important part of everything. Thanks again!

20.29 Brunei/Sgp time 19.29 thai;BBC still reporting 6th boy may have been taken out, unconfirmed report.I wonder what Dan Johnson is doing there as the BBC seems to give us poor quality news. Now as am typing They said BOYS now confirmed to have been taken out" ?

Waiting to hear that 13th person is now safely out.Mission Accomplished hopefully.

In emergency evacuations normal proceedure is to bring out the fittest first. There are two very good reasons for this:

1 Allows learning and fine tuning procedures with easiest ones.

2 Reduces probability of a disabled person blocking the egress points early on.

I suspect the chances that additional rain would result in rising water levels along the route would have factored into the decision as well.

Yes that makes sense, bring the weak out while the task is still within the limits of their endurance, conditions get worse then the task is beyond the weak ones.

And to protect the parents from any communicable infections that the boys may be carrying such as leptospirosis, histoplasmosis and / or melioidosis.

As someone who has been down a fair few pots in his youth, I can assure you that this is complete nonsense. Guano (bat droppings) and rats are only likely to be found in the cavern nearest to the cave entrance. The deeper you go into a cave system, the less signs of life you see, particularly if sections are difficult to pass. At 4 km in, unlikely to see any signs of organic life. Also, the water they were drinking had dripped from the walls of the cave. Rainwater filtered through a 1000 feet of limestone rock is the purest, cleanest water you are likely to ever consume. These guys were at much more risk of catching a communicable disease sat at home on the farm for the last 2 weeks than sat 4km into a cave system.

The quarantine issue is a red herring. Boys should have been reunited with their families immediately. Makes me wonder if other posters aren't correct in stating that they are being "saved" for a political opportunity for the generals.

Do you see it stands Global Moderator under the handle? Let´s just say that gives her that right. Now you can go sleep happy, and hopefully not say so much more.

I wont get my hopes too high, but how sure are you on this info?

What I thought I said was that it could be either way. To that I'll add that they also don't have to be doing it strictly weakest or strongest first. They seem to be saving the coach for last, (kids before adult, I suppose) and he was one of the weakest.

Quarantine would be warranted if they are still in a weakened state... though I think the hospital would be the last place you would want to take them since it is likely a germ infested location ? 9 days of not eating then likely a few days of MERs.

The leader of the rescue mission made it quite clear in a press conference, earlier today, that it's their policy to bring out the fittest and most able first.

The leader???? whats his/her  name?

Fact! the first lad out was THE WEAKEST IN CONDITION.  So on and so on...............

Please keep up.

So i guess you are the leader on site then, because you know better than all the contradicting news reports.

Anyway, why is it so important to the armchair experts in this thread who came out first?

The only goal is to get them out all as soon as possible.

I was quoting what I have read and been told as late as tonight on the live coverage. You said no opinion was offered on a subject which she did comment on. I have no problem whatsoever with her expressing an opinion - only that you said she did not.
