Wanna rob a bank? Just go on YouTube - it's easy!

A hapless gang of Thai robbers decided to change their modus operandi from stealing motorcycles to robbing ATMs.

So they went on YouTube and found out how to use cutting equipment to get their way into the machines.

They told the cops this was much easier than pinching bikes - in addition it was more lucrative and they thought they were much less likely to get caught.

However, Provincial Police Region 1 cops caught a break of their own when the vehicle the gang were using on a job got stuck in mud and burst into flames and had to be abandoned.

On Monday CCTV led the cops to the home of "Jay" Kaewmanee, 27, in Sai Mai, Bangkok and soon his three mates Black, 21, Boss, 22 and Palm, 22, were in custody.

At the end of June the gang targeted five ATMs in the Saraburi, Lopburi and Ayuthaya areas. They were successful in getting money out of two machines.

From one they got 174,000 baht and another 2.2 million.

Yesterday deputy national chief Pol Gen Chalermkiat Sriwarakhan announced the arrest of the gang.

Evidence was presented in terms of the gas canisters used in the robberies, three vehicles, an iPhone, 300,000 baht in cash and gold jewelry and amulets of 13 baht weight amounting to 350,000 baht in value.

The gang told the cops they had moved on from bike theft as ATMs looked easier after they went on YouTube to see how it was done, reported Daily News.

I´ve always said that YouTube is a great source of knowledge.

Messing around with acetylene cutting gear without training, they should consider themselves lucky to be alive.

They should have take a course from the Aussies how to knock off an ATM, they use a massive front end loader, smash everything, bollards, shop fronts and walls and tha smash the ATM machines with the loader buckets and gone in 60 seconds...

Are you an Aussie - sounds like it. Bit of an exaggeration 60 seconds, of course unless you have first hand experience!!!

So they only got caught because they are stupid.what they need is a good bit of training by some British gypsies.once again the British can top the bill with their expertise.i reckon a coach load of our best pikeys would clear phuket of all its ATM's over a weekend.
