thaigene2
A Google search turns up not very much - except Canadians who have been to Thailand and like Thai food. There are tens of thousands of Thais in Western Canada alone. How do they communciate with each other? How do thai-farang couples make friends with other thai-farang couples? Grateful for any suggestions, contacts, etc..of Thais or Thai-farang couples (but not Canadian 'fan' clubs of Thailand, Thai food, etc..). I have found several already. Cities in particular interest are Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. Thanks!

meme
It all depends on which province you are looking at. I know that in B.C they have at least one Thai temple. That would be a way you and your partner ( I am assuming b/c you asked about couples that you have a partner) could meet people. Where I am from in Canada there is a much smaller Thai population so the only way my bf and I were able to interact with other Thais was through the Thai restaurants in my city. thaigene2
Thai Association of British Columbiahttp://www.thaibc.org/ Thai Alberta Association http://www.thaiassociation.ab.ca/ Thanks cdnvic - that's great - and thanks to others too. Yes, I have emailed the Consulates and am awaitng their responses. I think there are two Thai 'wats' (if you could call them that) in the YVR area. One on the downtown eastside and another - or so I hear - in richmond or delta.. Sadly, it's all part of 'Plan B' ya know? thaigene2
