Non B visa to Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi All,

After 8 years in Thailand i have decided to call it a day, and return home (gulp).

My non B expires on 15th August, however i am not leaving until 7 September.

Is it possible to go to immigration on or before 15th August and transfer to a Tourist visa to see me through

until 7 September?

Thanks in advance.

No

You will have to go to a embassy or consulate to apply for a tourist visa.

If you qualify for a 30 day visa exempt entry you could do a border run for a 30 day visa exempt entry.

Thanks for the response.

Are there any options which means i do not have to leave the country?

Is it possible to extend the Non B? (I am actually working up until 31st Aug)

You can only get a extension of stay based upon working. It requires a valid work permit and a stack paperwork to do and they are normally only issued for a year.

Other than that your only option is 7 days after applying for an extension, paying 1900 baht and being granted those 7 day after the application is denied.
