I have a question that I thought would be simple but I can't seem to find any information on it! I am married to a Thai since February 2018. I have funds and proof of living arrangements etc. I have a work permit and a Non B visa with my job but that will be finishing at the end of September.

I want to transfer to a marriage visa and avoid leaving the country when that happens. Can I apply for a Non O whist I am still on a Non B or do I have to wait for it to run out, leave the country, enter on a tourist visa then apply for Non O?

Many thanks for the advice!

I assume you have an extension of stay based upon working not a 90 day entry from a non-b visa issued by a embassy or consulate.

You can change the reason for your extension form working to marriage when you job ends. You could do it before you job ends with a letter from your employer requesting your current extension be canceled so that you could apply for the new extension on the same day.

If you have a non-b visa you could apply for an extension based upon marriage during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from your visa.

Thanks for the advice! I will wait until my non B is about to expire before applying for non O.

You will not be applying for a non-o visa. You will be applying for an extension of stay. You also do not have a valid non-b visa you have a extension of stay.
