dayo202
I'm interested to do a spot of volunteering work with dogs in or around the Bangkok area. Would any members on here point me in the right direction of any groups or charities I can contact ?

cornishcarlos
Just do a google search for dog charities in Bangkok. It's quicker than asking on here. Don't worry about a work permit until you get busted... Which probably won't hapen
Phuket Man
Legally you need a work permit but as said you probably would be ok as long as you do not upset anyone.
ghworker2010
You could try 'Lanta animal welfare' owned by a farang. They do help out a lot of dogs and cats. As long as you can put up with the big egos of the young volunteer vets and the farang 'manager'...

Did she give that to you in writing on official immigration department paper? If not, it's no more valid than us saying it. In LOS, volunteering is work, and retirees are forbidden to work.
