If you were to land a contract for multiple years, would that negate the need to make a new WP annually? Would they issue a WP good for the duration of the contract? Thanks.

It is possible to get a 2 year work permit.

I have an open ended contract which has been ongoing for eight years, never been offered more than a 12 month WP ?

Crossy, maybe if your contract date was fixed? They could stamp a date certain.

Perhaps somebody only applied for a one year work permit for you.
