Tom Jones left fans disappointed by cancelling his gig at Stanstead Park just hours before he was due to take the stage.

 

The 78-year-old singer made the decision after falling ill and being advised to rest by doctors.

 

Fans were told about the cancellation with a tweet posted to Tom's official account at 5pm on Wednesday.

 

The statement read: "It is with regret that we have to cancel Tom Jones' performance at Stansted Park this evening.

    Yes he should take it easy , and maybe see a doctor. At his age you don't want to gamble. 

     

    Its Not Unusual for a performer of his age.
