Sorry if this is a beaten-horse question!

 

I usually go to Penang for my Tourist Visa, but I hear they are tight to give out visas lately. Can anyone confirm this?

 

I have no Tourist Visas in my passport this year, but just want to avoid a trip to Vientiane!

Any suggestions of easy tourist visa runs is appreciated. 

 

Vientiane is the best option. All others (including Penang) want bank statements, booked flights. If you can provide those then Savannahket is a good alternative.

It is the equivalent of at least 20k baht. The $7k number is for a multiple entry tourist visa issued in your home country.
