Democracy Dies in Darkness

Democracy can't exist without a free press, and anyone that believes otherwise is a sheep in need of others to guide them, and decidedly living in fear.  Lying seems to be the issue these days, so outright lying should have consequences because it appears people are getting more ignorant as tech advances~who would have guessed.

  • It just gets worse and worse, doesn't it? More and more ridiculous. Talk about having totally lost the plot ...

Prayut said he had stopped reading newspapers, only reason for that is every news article is slating his pathetic performance as the so-called leader of Thailand.

What do you mean by “only pure Thai blood”?

It's just a little tongue-in-cheek humour. Mocking this member's naive attitude of "but my Thai missus said...." and thinking everyone would then just accept it.

Don't overthink it too much.

Ah huh...

Ah! It's just like chewing gum, to get the taste back you need to have a pause. I'm sure every one will hate P with even more fervor after returning to read the recent exploits in five days. Genius!

Newspapers forbidden to print news for 5 days, no, wrong, people forbidden to read news for 5 days...,no that's not it, no Thai newspapers for 45 days; hows that?

I'm expecting (F)451 days...

How does one effectively punch themselves in the mouth?

Yes, please stop following events as they happen so any comments or thoughts you may share appear to be disconnected and will erode your credibility, allowing me to appear to be brilliant and crucial as a leader.

Any time a leader ask you stop stop educating yourself regarding current events you should wonder what they are hiding or manipulating. This shows Prayut has a fear of the media. Not very healthy for a politician....and yes, he is a politician.

The newspaper reporters are running for the hills no doubt. The Prayut Kid is feeling very angry.:hit-the-fan:

The ideal society...as per some...:sorry:

The guy is an utter imbecile and an embarrassment to be called a (an illegitimate) leader of a nation.

Looking at people and governments all over the world, who still believe in any "better governing policy" fairy tale anyway ?..  The tip of the iceberg is irrelevant. Human nature is screwed ?

Its the age of embarrassing leaders.

Unfortunately, the people get what they deserve when they abdicate responsibility for their government to others.  There was a movie from 60's, called "Who's minding the mint."  I can tell you who isn't minding the mint, and it's Thai People.

The people with guns are the ones who run the place.  In my country, The USA, the people have guns and lots of them.  We have them primarily as a reminder to those we place in power, not to usurp more than we give them.  No one here fears the electorate.
