Kelsall
Trump creates one distraction after another to keep his enemies off balance. This is one of those. My understanding is the big boys keep their clearances so they can be called upon by other big boys in some area where they are expert, perhaps in a time of crisis. In other words, to help. Brennan still has his clearance and appears to be using it only to undermine Trump. 1

In the past the Office of Personnel and Management(commonly know as OPM) granted clearances through an Adjudication Process. OPM can also revoke a clearance. The person with the clearance which is the subject of the Revocation process is entitled to Due Process(a hearing). These are the Adjudication Guidelines: (AKA Revocation normally involves a violation of some or all these guidelines). The 13 Adjudication Guidelines are: o Allegiance to the United States o Foreign Influence o Foreign Preference o Sexual Behavior o Personal Conduct o Financial Considerations o Alcohol Consumption o Drug Involvement o Psychological Conditions o Criminal Conduct o Handling Protected Information o Outside Activities o Misuse of Information Technology Well, with Brennan, Allegiance to the US, Personal Conduct, and Handling Protected Information come to mind.

Unless they are called upon in a particular situation, they are not privy to classified information. If they are needed for any consultation or expertise, they simply don't have to go through the rather lengthy process of receiving clearance again. So removing it will do nothing to stop them from talking. They are currently not getting any briefing information or any classified information. It will only hurt the US should their expertise be needed. He is a truly dangerous man who cares more about his own ego than the well being of the nation. 1 1 1

But since you require that I would poll every GOP member and get their opinion, it seems like too much work to even bother to do so. 4

No he doesn't you just want to 'imagine' he does at it suits your politics. GOP voted in Trump not Ryan and so HE represents the GOP these days much more than Ryan. 1
riclag
"There is a formal process by which clearances can be revoked, Clapper said, but it's predicated on wrongdoing or other set procedures. Cutting off access over a disagreement based on speech would "set a terrible precedent," he said, representing "an abuse of the system." While his cohort (Brennan) says the POTUS committed treason,a crime punishable by death! It won't be anytime soon these two clowns will be asked questions or assistance on past intel ,from Mike Pompao or CIA Haskel. You might be surprised. And again, your translation program, from Russian to English needs an update.
