BANGKOK — Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said some of his former MPs are being lured to a new party by promises of money, prestige and legal assistance with  criminal charges they face.

 

Abhisit, who was prime minister from 2008 to 2011, said Monday that the promise of prosecutorial relief as an incentive to entice some former MPs would be a troubling brand of politics.

Only now am I starting to understand the ROADMAP! The twenty year plan seems to be paving the way for crims and the corrupt. Onward Thailand! I guess prestige means FACE!

Hitler was hard to stop too. Except the soldiers who did not follow faced the firing squad.

Abhisit is surprised by their self-serving shallowness and prostituting themselves to the highest bidder...haha. Thai politics will remain the contemptible corrupt mess that it is, and has been, until the same old faces and scumbags disappear on all sides and the military is sent back to the barracks where it belongs. I hope the Future Forward Party does really well (even though it won't win) as it will send the message that the writing is on the wall for the dinosaurs.

Cheer up Abhisit, they weren't really your friends in the first place. And now you know. Isn't it better this way?

yep, the bar stewards are so shallow it's far better off with out them. Typical Thai politics - prostitute yourself to the highest bidder and I thought prostitution was illegal ?

Abhisit was not complaining back in 2008 where a similar buy up of politicians secured his prime ministerial asperations.

Abhisit and the Democrats need to disband (not rebrand) themselves and offer consolidation with the Freedom party.

thing is that it doesnt matter if its dems or ptp they are all there to be bought by the highest bidder, none of the current crop of politicians are there for the betterment of Thailand, they are there to line their own pockets. Thaksin used/s the same ploy, there are no thai politicians that are not there to get financial as well as other rewards, big problem is that none will change the laws to stop it, graft and corruption run the country, these people will do what ever is best for themselves always, screw the population
