Getting a residency certificate and renewing 5 year Thai DLs in Hua Hin

Featured Replies

Mid August my 5-year Thai DLs for both car & mc expire. I've recently relocated to Hua Hin from Pattaya, and have already notified HH Imm of my change of address.

So a couple days after my birthday I will go to HH Imm with passport + rent receipt to get a residency cert. Will I need 2 sets of residency cert? Or will 1 be OK and I make a copy and submit 1 original + 1 copy when I go to renew my 2 DLs? And how long does it take for the certificate/certificates to be issued?

I've read online that it's faster and easier to renew the DLs at the Pranburi transport office. Does anyone know about this? Is it OK to go to the Pranburi office even though my residency certs are from HH?

Anything else anyone can tell me about the requirements and procedure to renew my licences will be much appreciated.
