My friend's daughter is allergic to dairy foods. All Thai soya milk I have found has 1% whole (cows) milk powder added (I don't know why, it seems to defeat the point of soya milk). Is there anywhere I can get pure soya milk, or is she going to have to bring a suitcase full of the stuff when she comes to visit?

I've got a problem with milk too

I spent a good 15-20 min going through all the soy milk at lotus

The brand that makes Vita milk also has other products.

Where the original Vitamilk is 10% sugar and added Milk Powder

There is a low sugar one that is 5% with NO added milk powder.

also on the shelves is one that is no added sugar and now milk powder.

I've tried both and they're both ok. the all natural one leaves a 'nutty' after taste and IMHO the low sugar one is a bit smoother.

Attached are pics of the low sugar one.

You can get fresh soy milk in the market. It tastes much better then the boxed ones. You can get it with barley, kidney beans and all sorts of other bits or just plain. Be sure to ask for it without sugar as the bags already prepared will have a huge dose thrown in. I buy this every day at evening markets around Rawai - but you have to get there early as they almost always run out.

Both marmite and soya milk are available at Tops at Central. Don't know about herbal teas but I imagine they are also available there.
