"It's over and it's not much money" says forgiving mum whose son faked his own death for cash

The mother whose own son pretended he was dead to con her out of 60,000 baht for his coffin has spoken to the Thai media.

It appears that she is set to forgive him saying that he is her own flesh and blood after all.

She said she didn't know why he would do such a thing and on a recent visit had not mentioned money troubles.

The man was pictured lying down with cotton wool stuffed in his nostrils  - it was suggested online that he was in this state because the wife couldn't afford a coffin.

The money was soon sent along with the cost of transport. Relatives clubbed together to pay for the temple in Lampang while ex schoolmates of the son raised further funds to help the family.

Everyone was in tears - especially the tearful mother - but it was all a con.

"It's over, it's over," the mother snapped at Thai Rath reporters. "I don't know why he did this.

"I saw him and his wife a week ago after they came up by train from Ayuthaya. I took them to a temple and for dinner. They slept over before going back south - they never mentioned any money troubles.

"When I heard he was dead I was distraught. All I could think of was having his body back here and I transferred the money to his wife.

"It's finished - it was not much money after all".

Earlier she had been reported as being likely to forgive him. She had said that when all is said and done he is still her flesh and blood.

Disown the POS.

Next case.

So, then con the mom out of 60K+, as well as get money from friends, and then mom wants to forgive and forget just because he's her son?

That would not happen in my house, with my Thai wife, I can guarantee you.

only a Mother could forgive this

Thereby ensuring that the chronic dysfunctionality continues on to the next dozen or so generations..

"Good on yer mum...the son's the one.."

No doubt he offered endless wai's,so all is forgiven.

The guy will have huge problems, the people who gave some cash for the cremation will not forget that.

 Stupidity pure.

This Woman should be given a job at  'The Ministry for Silly People' !

More Thainess.

The best part of him trickled down his mother’s legs.

She is set to forgive him because he is a spoilt little pr##k and I treat him like a little princess

There's no way, *no* way that you came from *my* loins. Soon as I get home, first thing I'm gonna do is punch yo mamma in da mouth!

He's a good boy after all. We just love him. Poor kid was having money troubles. Seems he lost some money he did not have betting on football. He won't do it again. Promise.

Nothing like a good old bit if domestic violence to resolve the issue.

Mum taken for money and then punched in the mouth.

She should increase his pocket money to 2,000 baht a day, then he wouldn't need to resort to such ploys. At 26 his expenses are a lot more than when he was in 5th grade!

What a cheeky monkey.

They will  even try and sell Grandma down the river,  over here.  :shock1:

I'm not claiming to be dead (yet) but if she has some spare cash, can I send her my bank details?

I like the idea, but I'd be worried it might be a dead loss, rather than making a prophet by predicting my own demise.

Everyone blames the son. I think the 'mastermind' behind it was his wife.

Surely that would make her the 'mistressmind'?

Has it been three days already? How times flies. Leave no stone unturned, that's what I say.

Maybe Mum has a cunning face saving plan to welcome home her brain challenged offspring and it go's bang?

An utter idiot. Thought disrespecting his mother with his actions would have cause serious loss of face to him and the family. No mention of that.
