Marvel could get more TV shows on Netflix, with talks ongoing

Netflix is clarifying confusion about the fate of its Marvel shows in the wake of Disney announcing its own streaming service.

 

Last year, Disney executive Kevin Mayer seemed to suggest that its own streamer would be the exclusive home to Marvel content in the future.

 

However, Netflix later insisted that its current Marvel shows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders would be staying put.

 

At the TCA press tour over the weekend, Netflix executive Cindy Holland indicated that there are conversations on-going with Disney about taking characters from those shows and spinning them off into their own series (via IGN).
