A sting operation at a clinic in Nonthaburi yesterday resulted in the arrest of a 38 year old woman who had neither medical qualifications nor a license to operate.

Public health officials, trading standards officers and police conducted the raid on the Coco Clinic at The Crystal on Ratchapreuk Road in the Bang Kruay area north west of Bangkok.

The clinic was ordered closed by a court in September but re-opened just like before, said Dr Thongchai Kiratihatthayakorn of the Thai Department of Public Health.

Manageress Phairin, 38, was taken away.

There are four offences being leveled at the clinic including operating without the necessary licenses, having staff that are not trained medical personnel and pharmaceutical drugs related matters.
