Best place for diagnosis for Thai national

Featured Replies

My Thai girlfriend of five years is still feeling weak after A longer stay than usual in a regional hospital.

Her problem is an ongoing one but to me has never been properly resolved or even diagnosed. Once or even twice a year she feels very tired and has general body pain. Usual gets put on a drip for a few days and released. Sounds a bit like anemia but never been told that. This upto now has fixed the problem even if only for a while. However this time several weeks after release she still has not fully recovered, and does not want to go back again in case she has something serious. It's a well known hospital but some of the doctors don't inspire confidence. We are based in Prachinburi province and are often in Pattaya  and Bangkok too.

Need any good recommendations for a check up from a international style hospital for a Thai national.

Before you do anything else, get a full copy of her medical records from the hospital. By law, they must provide them.

There may be a diagnosis there that she either was not told, does not understand, or has chosen not to tell you. Even if not, the lab results etc will help determine what sort of specialist to see.The information you provide is far from sufficient for that. In addition, any other doctor consulted will need the information in that chart in order to proceed.

When you have that info post it hear (with name redacted) or PM to me. Also provide names/pic of any medications she was given to take at home.

One wonders about thallesmeia but if so it will be diagnosed and appear on the medical chart.

My experience with the regional hospital in Prachinburi has been very good, even for hard to make diagnoses, but as with all government hospitals communication with patients is poor.
