BANGKOK — National parks nationwide will waive entry fees on Mother’s Day – but only for Thais.

Thais can enter national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and non-hunting areas nationwide for free Sunday in honor of Queen Sirikit’s 86th birthday, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation announced Thursday.

Little by little, I have seen improvements. At least all of the trash is in one pile. It's a start...

So its get one free double the price for the other what a deal in true Thai tradition don't tell the Mrs?

Ah, my missus' mum who isn't Thai but passes as one will be pleased. Free entry for her.

And I will continue to get ripped off paying sometimes up to 6 times the price despite paying well over 100,000THB a year in taxes ?

What a funny thing to do.Visit a Park here.

How about those of us with Pink Cards?

Probably is if you have a Thai mother

It has been reported that as from this Sunday it will be strictly enforced that all visitors to the 154 National Parks cannot enter if they carry disposable plastics and foam food and drink containers. What a remarkable coincidence?

So this Mother's Day outing might not go off as smoothly as planned.

Free entry but leave your plastic food and drink containers at the gate. That should bring a few gasps of horror.

Love to be there to watch the showdown between the plastic bag laden Thais and Park plastic bag police.

Don't worry- it will not happen!

Probably need to quadruple the fees for foreigners in order to offset the revenue losses.

Good for the Thai people on this one, I guess. However, if being objective though....the xenophobic Nazis that hold sway over them now will eventually be brought to book as the kids that are growing up now will have none of it in like 15-20 years when the fascist dinosaurs have gone. Luckily there is a good chance that I'll still be around to see it. I could go to these places and flash a WP...but I see little reason to go to such places at a "circus time" in the calender.

So True like the law that says it is illegal to carry people in the back of pick-ups Wonderful idea just somebody forgot to enforce it and it still goes on Might as well get that law and wipe their arse with it

GREAT NEWS FREE ENTRY TO PARKS THAIS   SECOND GRADE ALIEN CITIZENS 400 Baht:WPFflags::cheesy::post-4641-1156694572:

Are foreigners not worthy enough?!

Victimization plus Racism come to my thoughts.

Foreigners wishing to visit national parks etc, will no doubt be expected to pay from100% to 400% more, for the entrance fee!
