Chinese national arrested over massive shipment of ecstasy

Featured Replies

Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Saturday charged a Chinese man with trafficking nearly 100 kilograms of ecstasy pills via post from Germany. Major Sok Setha, an internal security police officer, identified the accused as Yao Zeye, 33, who was charged with drug trafficking. He was arrested on Tuesday and faces a life sentence if convicted.

Maj Setha said that on the morning of August 5, postal staff in Daun Penh district inspected seven large boxes sent from Germany. They were addressed to Mr Yao, who lives in Phnom Penh, and had his contact number. Maj Setha said that the postal staff found the ecstasy pills hidden inside packets of animal feed and alerted the internal security police department at the Interior Ministry.

He added that police seized 980,435 grams of ecstasy pills and laid a trap for the accused. Maj Setha said that at about 11am on Tuesday morning, a post office worker called Mr Yao to come and collect the boxes and police arrested him.

I'm on the planet where you can drink yourself, smoke yourself and eat yourself to death, but taking a few pills is the retailers fault.

Xtc is a party drug, the 'victims' will have a good night out,  and coming from Europe usually much better quality then the sh#t they take here in Asia, like yaba and other crap, so yes, a victimless crime it is.
