I am not an expert, but why not let your wife go for a 30 days excempt, and if needed an extension for another 30 days of that.

And then you apply for extension of stay based on retirement and NOT wait any longer. AND when you have that extension, your wife can apply based on being your dependent, not having to show any income at all, and together with you be good for another year..

I assume your wife may of gotten a multiple entry non-o visa last year when you applied for your OA visa. I suspect if you had requested a single entry non-o visa they would of issued one.

With a entry from a non-o visa your wife could apply for an extension of stay at immigration based upon your non-oa visa entry. It would be valid to the date your current entry ends.

He cannot apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement until the last 30 days of his current entry from the OA visa.

If your wife was issued a METV yesterday then it should have an 'enter before' date of 12th Feb 2019.

If she crossed the border and re-entered the day before that date she would be given permission to stay until April 12th.

She could then apply for a 30 day extension taking her to 11th May.

What date in May is your current permission to stay stamp valid until?

Alternatively, on April 11th do a border run to obtain a VEE until 10th May, then apply for a 30 day extension taking her beyond the date of your extension application.

She is still going to need a single entry non-o visa to apply for her extension from a embassy or consulate. She should be able get one based upon her husbands OA visa entry from a nearby one.

Immigration does not do a change of visa status to get a non immigrant visa entry for those applying for family members extensions for a extension based upon retirement.

OK. So she'd have to obtain a Non Imm O on 15th Feb 2019, from a nearby Embassy/Consulate, which should take her up to 15th May.

His wife's METV should have an 'enter before' date of 12th Feb.

So they could cross the border just before and spend 3/4 days in a nearby Country to obtain her Non Imm O.

So you think if I going to a nearby consulate for example maleisia or Laos in February.

I have still 3 months left on mine OA.  She can have a single non O.

bring our marriage certificate of course and maby the income affidavit?

Yes I am relatively confident they will since they have done it for those with a single entry non-o visa entry for being over 50. No difference between your non-oa visa and a non-o visa.

thinking about thaivisacentre for her Non 0 and extension for being over 50. The cost is 32000 bht.

Reentre. traveL and cost of hotel's couple of days is not so much different. Plus the risk of denial

The price mentioned would be for her to get a non immigrant visa and a extension of stay based upon retirement. They would be providing the financial proof for it. All of course done under the table.

Even for an agent immigration would not do the non immigrant visa for her based upon your extension.

That is why I suggested a 30 day excempt for the wifey plus an extension of another 30 days of that, so no problem with my suggestion then... Or??
