How early to renew visa

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what is the earliest you can renew an education visa? My visa expires on the 5th October, but I have to return to the UK on 4th September and wont be back until after the expiration date.

Thanks

If you have a multiple entry non-ed visa you could do a border hop before you leave and get a re-entry permit for that 90 day entry or you could apply for a new one at the embassy in London.

Or do you actually have a extension of stay based upon attending a school issued by immigration. Dependent upon the office you use you could apply a new extension up to 45 days early and at others 30 days.

Cheers for the info ubonjoe. My visa is a single-entry non-ed visa, and the university provides me with a letter to renew it each year, which is 1900 Baht. So I can take this letter and get my visa renewed 45 days before it expires? Do you happen to know the amount of days early possible for either Nakhon Pathom, Chaeng Wattana, or Samut Prakarn immigration offices?

Thanks

Chaeng Wattana is 45 days.

You have to apply at the designated office where you are living or where the university is located in some cases. The university should know where you have to apply.
