Action Coalition for Thailand (Ruam Palang Prachachart Thai) party co-founder Suthep Thuagsuban on Thursday urged the National Anti-Corruption Commission to have the corruption against him sent to the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Offices.

The former leader of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee was accused of malfeasance while in office in connection with the construction of 163 apartment buildings for police and 396 police stations throughout the country. Mr Suthep said that the longer the case was delayed, the greater the damage rendered to his reputation and political popularity by the accusation.

For the past seven years since the accusation against him emerged, he said he had been cooperative with the NACC all along, hoping that the case would soon reach the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Posts so the truth will be revealed to the public.

Many Thai politicians have big mouths that do not close which quite often lead to their downfall.....this crook may soon have his day in court...hopefully!

Perhaps but if his political allies have already set the stage for the desired verdict it may be best to wait until a more responsible government is in place.

Yingluck has already been tried and convicted for events that occurred nearly 5 years after Suthep's "alleged" rorting of the police station construction budget...........I am beginning to suspect that there maybe something not quite right with the Thai courts.

Perhaps a touch of politicisation has crept in?
