The TV show being spun off from the Jason Bourne movies is becoming a full series.

 

First announced back in April, Treadstone – from Heroes creator Tim Kring – hasn't even made a pilot yet, but USA Network is clearly confident that its telly version of the Matt Damon franchise will do well.

 

The show will explore the origin story and present-day actions of a CIA black ops programme known as Treadstone – a covert operation that uses behaviour modification protocol to turn its agents into nearly-unstoppable superhuman assassins.

 

The first season will follow sleeper agents – none of whom will be played by Damon, of course – across the globe as they're mysteriously "awakened" to resume their deadly missions.
