A concert held in front of a department store in Samut Prakarn turned into a riot as dozens of young people fought in pitch battles in the car park.

It happened at a concert and show for in-car audio equipment.

Eleven people ended up in Bang Bor hospital.

Police, army and protection forces eventually broke up the violence.

The local authority said that no permission for the sale of alcohol had been given.

Thai Rath reported that many people at the event had been drinking resulting in the violence.

They said 3,000 attended and many were under the age of 18.

Looks like normal activities for drunk Thais at a concert.  Unfortunately that is often the case but this one appeared more extreme.

If used properly there is a good cure for idiots.

It's even popular with some of the females after use.

They are both bad shots and out of range.... what a waste of time......

Throwing a plastic chair that fails to cover half the distance does indeed seem like a wasted effort.

Surprised that nobody pulled out a gun. (thankfully)

I don't blame the alcohol, don't see this type of behaviour in my watering holes

Whilst the schools treat them as children and the government bring in laws to suppress their freedoms, this will continue to happen.  They would be better organizing themselves and protesting against this government and the oppressive laws in this country.  It's the students that have changed other countries.  It can happen here.

Years ago when I moved here I asked my wife if she wanted to go some outdoor concert. She said the last one she had gone to was in 1991 and all the crowd of youngsters did was get drunk and fight. Sounds like this has been the status quo for a long time. Back where I'm from they search people before entry to indoor and outdoor events, not sure about here. Like live music but don't like drunk idiots.
