Khao Wong district police had to break open the front door of the two-storey home of Amornrat Busamongkol, 56, in Ban Saen Suk, Tambon Khum Kao. They found his body on a sofa with a .22-calibre rifle nearby and the body of his wife, Homchan Busamongkol, also 56, on the floor of the living room with a gunshot wound to the head. It’s believed Amornrat committed suicide by placing a toe on the trigger of the rifle with the barrel in his mouth. He was a former member of Khao Wong Municipal Council. A relative, Suthin Nathewet, told police he got no answer when he phoned Amornrat and went to investigate, finding the house doors locked. He looked in a window and could see Homchan’s body lying in a pool of blood. Not much different to what we read on ThaiVisa two or three times a week, the only difference this time is that the third party wasn't killed as well.
