colinthailand20005
So my son was born in Thailand we have U.K. Passport no entry stamp, he is also Thai and we want to sort out his Thai passport later. is the process of leaving Thailand straight forward at the airport without an entry stamp and brand new U.K. Passport for a 1 year old born here? We have the Thai birth certificate if needed.
brewsterbudgen
Yes it's very straightforward. You just show the new UK passport and the Thai birth certificate at passport control. They make an entry in the passport and stamp the baby out. Sent from my SM-G930F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
elviajero
As long as you have the birth certificate, and the mother is with you, it won’t be any problem. They will probably just note that the child was born in Thailand on the exit stamp.
samran
Not sure why you aren’t getting his Thai PP. its pretty straight forward, costs 1000 baht and you can get it sent to you in 3 days. without one he’ll be subject to immigration control when he returns on a UK passport.
Maestro
I agree that it is best to get the child his Thai passport right from the start, with his first departure from Thailand. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by waiting until later.
ubonjoe
Agree with the others it would certainly be best to get their Thai passport now. With it they could depart and re-enter using their Thai passport. Entering on their Thai passport is the most important part so there is no worry about their stay here.
