Junta members change political rules for their benefits: Democrat deputy leader

Democrat party deputy leader Ong-art Klampaibul has accused some  unnamed figures in the National Council for Peace and Order of changing political rules until they become “unnatural and abnormal” for their own benefits and those of their associates.

He asked those in power to think carefully before deciding on issuing an order, warning that any order which will lead to abuse of power or taking too much advantage on others will backfire on the power-that-be.

“The best way to do everything in a straight-forward manner so the country can move forward without any glitches which will be the ultimate wish of the people,” said the former Democrat MP.

Hmmm... as each day passes since May 2014 the former LOS 'leadership' reminds me more and more of Kim Jong-un's North Korea instead.  When will the locals wake up?

What a novel concept. Especially for this party.

The locals have never instituted changes in Thailand,  only the Students and Academia, the locals only joined in after the events had started.

Cleverly disguised as crackdowns and we have a gun?

From the mouths of those who perpetuated military rule.   Words fail me.  The demos just cannot seem to say anything without sounding retarded.  How is any of this a surprise ?

Noooo ,for real ?

Even though everyone knows that, he can't name them for fear of the Computer Crime Act being thrown at him for "distributing false or misleading information".

Apparently not.

Well absolute proof, if any more was needed,  that the Thai educational system needs a total overhaul, with such a statement from a senior political figure

He is a late starter. Just vote NO. They can't win they also can't remember there own rules. Old dinasour of poor standing in the education arena.

Open the gates fellas, this one has just had the 'penny dropped'...needs some 'attitude adjusment'.

Junta members change political rules for their benefits: Democrat deputy leader

January 2018:

Throughout the ongoing political conflict, the Democrats have continued to undermine the rights of rural voters, especially those in the Northeast, with the rhetoric of vote-buying. At the same time, the party itself has shown it lacks fundamental democratic values and understanding by supporting military intervention in 2006 and 2014.

This has intensified the anti-democratic sentiment among its supporters across the country.

http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/opinion/30335859

The age old dilemma of wanting one's cake and eating it too.

"It is time for both the Democrat Party and the PDRC to revisit their political strategies and redefine their understanding of democracy, as well as learning to respect the voices and the rights of rural people." (ditto)

As Bart Simpson might say to the Democrats, "Eat my shorts."

It's good that he raised this, he is obviously taking a calculated risk. I wasn't impressed with Abhist and his fellow Democrats when they were put into power by the military, maybe they are turning the corner and realising that sometimes you are the windscreen and sometimes you are the bug. They were happy being the windscreen, less so now...but politicians have short memories don't they?

It seems the restrictions on political activities and campaigning on the political parties, while seemingly the campaigning by the military goes on, is patently unfair.

Now the noose will get tighter.

Gee who would have thought?

Surely he is joking, Prayut and his cronies changing the rules, never - wouldn't - no not possible - don't believe it, must be fake news, then on the other hand..............

Sorry, the horse is already out of the barn and across the field....this warning would have been more timely four years ago. It probably wouldn't have stopped the abuse but it may have started some form of awakening a little earlier.

Its been happening for many years by a lot of parties. Old news. Need to look at their policies and dissect them.
