Am on a 1 year extension.

got a single re entry permit ,left thailand and came back in. My date is what it should be

BUT they did NOT cancel the single re entry stamp.

 

Could i use it again??

No!  The re-entry stamp shows only one entry allowed.  You used it when you left and re-entered Thailand.

I don't think I would take the risk of trying to use it. If the officer noticed your previous entry was from a re-entry permit he could refuse to use it.

Sometimes the IO needs to be told about a re entry permit, they don't look as the poor things are overworked, bored and just want to go home for food!

But in this case (overlooked the re-entry) he would have gotten only a 30 day stamp.

And the OP says the stamp is OK.

The reason I would not - at any point in the future, an IO could flip through your passport, find the discrepancy, and then declare you have been on overstay since X date (maybe bans, etc).  The rules of the game are, their mistakes are all forgivable, but your failure to discover and correct their mistakes may be declared criminal.

you put the number of ur re entry permit on ur arrival form as ur visa number

hence reason i dont think i could use it twice but was just asking...

While the stamp may not have been physically cancelled there remains the possibility (indeed, likelihood) that it was still cancelled elctronically. This would presumably subsequently become apparent at a border checkpoint through the IO swiping the photopage through a scanner as is normal practice these days.
