Recommendations for physiotherapy

Recommended Posts

I am going under the knife in Europe for some lower back operation.  When I come back the doctor recommends to have a  physiotherapy person a couple times a week

to work on stretching, exercising etc (he will give me a list of instructions)  I am a bit weary on  physiotherapy  specialists in Chiang Mai as I have gone to a couple in the past and it was like having my friend do it for the first time:)

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any quality  physiotherapy  people, ones that have a strong grasp of the English Language would be good.  I know some Thai but I certainly do not know medical Thai lingo.

Thanks for your suggestions

Khun Took at that hospital by the Holiday Inn.  You might need a Thai doctor's referral to get an appt, though.

EDIT:  Here's her contact info from the pinned topic above.

Don't go for any back surgery without going for other non-invasive options first.

There is a famous Chinese physician just a short trip in Malaysia and he can speak English. He has cured many famous people across the globe, watch video below.

thanks for the thoughts, I have done many things over the years, but I have three discs that are almost completely gone, pretty confident this method will not regrow my discs, I am almost bone on bone in two areas  , been researching my options for almost 2 years and it is time to do it.

  • 2 weeks later...

The CMU Outreach centre, Ruamchok plaza,  is very good for physio, circa 500 baht per session.

Also, as someone who went the alternate treatment route (chiropractor) aged 35 I can confirm that you will pay the price at some point, providing you live long enough, in my case aged 68 I'm starting to pay and will be in a wheelchair within five years at max.

Khun Took at Rajavej is excellent! Highly recommended.

Yes, now they require a letter of referral from a physician.

Can it be a letter from an outside surgeon as from another country or will I have to see someone local to get it?

Unsure, worst case is you may need a short consultation with an ortho. doctor here in order to get the referral, that shouldn't be more than around 400 baht or so.
