Health certificate

Anyone out here who has requested a criminal record clearance through Thai police for the application of non immigrant O visa (retirement based) at a Thai Consulate?

A police clearance certificate is not required to apply for a non-o visa for being over 50 unless you plan on applying at Vientiane Laos.

You could get a police clearance certificate at the center for getting them in Bangkok. See: http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/

A police clearance from your home country is needed to apply for OA long stay visa in your home country.

I will apply at Thai consulate in Penang for a 3 month non immigrant O visa (retirement based). The last country I have lived for 14 months is Thailand. I have not lived in my homeland for the last 30 years. The local police in Pattaya asked me to apply at police station in Bangkok.

Where is the best (cheapest) place in Pattaya to request a health certificate for a visa application?

I have merged your 2 topics.

You do not need to police clearance certificate or a medical certificate to apply for a single entry non-o visa in Penang.

As I informed you before you only need your updated Thai bank book showing 800k baht and proof of retirement. If you can get a income letter showing any amount of income it will be accepted for proof of retirement.

I have also informed you that could apply for the visa at your local immigration office.

Thank you for your comments. I tried to apply at immigration Pattaya for a 3 months none immigrant O (based on immigration) without success because the officer asked for my my bank deposit was not ready yet aged (The money (USD) was there for the first day but the bank book not yet ready, the bank needs 7 days to deliver it). I have in mind to extend my present permit of stay (expires 29.09.) for another 30 days and before expiring to apply in Penang for the 3 months none immigrant O (retirement based) visa as they will only ask me for a bank statement but not for money aged in a Thai bank account. The list of supporting documentation for the none immigrant O (retirement based) by the Thai consulate requests both a health and criminal record clearance. Please tell me at which point I am failing...

I see that the link for visas on Penang's website now takes you to the KL embassy website in. This on their website appears to ba an error since it lists the requirements for NON-OA long stay visa "NON-IMMIGRANT VISA (O) FOR RETIREMENT".

Penang only asks to see 800k baht in the bank on the date you apply (plus proof of retirement) or proof of 65k baht income. This info is from people that have successfully applied for the non-o visa in Penang.

Hi, I'm going to Penang next week for a single entry Non-O based on retirement.  One question - proof of retirement, what is that?  How does one prove he's retired?
