wildpikey
Can someone advise me if I can do out / in border crossings on a Non O visa every time I need to get a stamp. I did an out / in last time I had to do it, can I continue to do the same when it is due? or is there a limit to the amount of out / in's I can do? ubonjoe
You can do as many out/in border crossing as you want to for a new entry from your visa. There is one exception and that is the Poipet crossing to Cambodia. Also some crossings to Malaysia may insist you need to stay overnight. If married to a Thai or the parent of one you could get a 60 day extension of your entries to visit them.
overherebc
FYI. Attached 60 day extension stamp. The date starts on last day of your 90 day entry so you don't lose any days doing it a good few days early. Nearly a half page stamp by the way. Day 1 of the 60 day extension would be day 91, not day 90 (“last day of your 90 day entry”).

Marriage or birth certificate, a copy of their house book registry and ID card (if any). Also the wife or child must be with you when you apply. At many offices proof of residence is also required. overherebc
It does't apply to 12 month extensions though, does it? Only ME Visas, and ( sorry ) single entry 90 day visas. Edited September 11, 2018 by overherebc
ubonjoe
Just now, overherebc said: It does't apply to 12 month extensions though, does it? Only ME Visas. The 60 day extension can be applied once for any type of entry. It can be used to extend a 12 month extension unless one has been done already for the entry that has been extended.

So that would mean that at the end of the second year of an O-A visa, which has been converted to an extension at the end of the visa a 60 day extension would mean 26 months in total? Yes it could be done.

rickudon
OP didn't say if he was on a single entry, 12 month multi or the Annual visa (which gives up to 12 months again). I assume he is on the 12 month multi (giving up to 90 days a time) as he said he needs 'stamps'.

wildpikey
Did the out ,/ in at Mai Sai today successfully on the O class multi entry. On the new entry stamp the immigration wrote "ed" . Does any one have any idea what this means? It's my second out/in in a row, I did it last time at the same point of entry, I'm now getting paranoid and wondering if it means "entry denied" if I try to do another out/in. So has anyone got an idea what it means? Edited September 14, 2018 by wildpikey Image attsched
elviajero
It doesn’t mean “entry denied”. It’s nothing to worry about. It’s probably the IO’s initials. Edited September 14, 2018 by elviajero

wildpikey
Thx for the replies guys. I have to admit the whole immigration system makes me paranoid as it changes so often without warning and can cost a fortune if u get it wrong. Thanks again
