What kind of Internet speeds can I expect in SR? Is it faster to use data from the phone or can you get decent WiFi in your home and cafes?

Wifi virtually everywhere. Of course, if you rent a home then you have to arrange and pay for it, but it is very affordable, much less than in Thailand. Speeds are fine.

 

Can also use phone.

Siem Reap has excellent Wi-Fi everywhere.

 

The hotels all do it free and there is an abundance of cafes and cheap eateries that give you free Wi-Fi upon a small purchase. I am in and out of Cambo all the time.

 

One of the most connected places around and cheap for Wi-Fi even when you are renting a place. A lot of techy guys actually use Siem Reap as a base to run their online businesses.

Same pretty much all over and most definitely in Siem Reap.

I divide my time between Camb and Thailand.
