snoop1130
People want Nicolas Cage to replace Henry Cavill as the new Superman by Greg Evans Photo: WARNER BROS/KOBAL/IMAGINECHINA/REX/SHUTTERSTOCK/TWITTER We know, gutting isn't it? The Hollywood Reporter has said that discussions between Warner Bros and Cavill's representatives has slowed down after the actor couldn't make a cameo appearance in the forthcoming film Shazam! This would appear to suggest that he will no longer be playing 'The Last Son of Krypton' leaving the role wide open for someone else to take the reigns. An early front-runner to play the 'Man of Steel' is Michael B Jordan, which would be a great choice. However, the internet, as always, has other ideas. canuckamuck
Aren't we getting tired of the comic book heroes? Can't anyone write a script for adults anymore?
spidermike007
Hollywood has completely lost its way. The days of great stories are gone. With the exception of independents like Manchester by the Sea, and a few others, they just do not get it. Thankful for independent and foreign film. Hollywood sucks! Cage? What is he 60? Jordan is a better idea. Hollywood. The land of sequels and vapid, implausible, dumb and teenage films.

CharlieH
At 54 Cage is too old and frankly way passed his "use by" date for that character. Tired of all these special fx computer generated crap !
alfalfa19
this will triple the size of Cage's already hideously bloated ego.

colinneil
Nicolas Cage as Superman? Shot of him going into the phone box to change, with his zimmer frame left outside, and the oxygen tank under the phone.

AsiaHand
He does need the money to buy back his houses that were taken over by the banks and the IRS. Cage as superman? Then they should get Peter Dinkiage (from the game of thrones) as Batman's Boy Robin.

There are no adults anymore The film industry these days is much like Thaivisa. Most of the participants are well past their use by dates, there's no new stories to be told and heroes are created by computer deception.

AlexRich
When I look at a movie trailer and see Nicolas Cage is in it ... I keep my money in my pocket ... I've never enjoyed a movie he was in. As for Superman ... I think Woody Allen looks more suitable for the part than Cage.

A 'petrified wooden' actor ... He absolutely spoiled "Captain Corellis Mandolin" and should have retired straight after .
honu
He was terrible in Kick-ass and that was some of his best work, now nearly a decade ago. There is no way this could really happen.
