“It is my business” is PM Prayut’s answer on his political future

Gen Prayut and the military junta stand to benefit more from an early election.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha appeared to be annoyed today when once again pressed for answer when he will make known his political future.

“What do you want from me?  I said it would be after the issuance of the act (Act on the Election of Members of the Parliament)….  It can be next year, the year after next…. When I want to say it is my business.  I will make my own decision.  Why should I say it  now only to be chided?” he said at a press conference after the weekly Cabinet meeting.

Gen Prayut has been evasive about how he will decide on his political future. He said recently that he will make a decision “when the time comes”.

The year after next? Freudian slip ?

Perhaps, he might be able to lament more intelligently towards public discourse if he were an elected official - less, the forced upon appointed type. ?

Isn't this the "public's" concern or business? ?

He'll let us know, when his puppet masters let him know...

Until then, he is as clueless as the rest of us ?

Actually it is the "business" of the nation, you are the un-elected, some would say you stole it, PM, the people have a right, if you haven't taken it away from them, to know what you are going to do.

The chutzpah of this man is breath-taking. More lies and prevarication. A few weeks ago he said that he would reveal his political plans in September. Well, now is September. But he suddenly says he might not deign to tell the populace of his decision until next year or the year after that! You think there is going to be an election - a free and fair one - anytime soon?!

If I remember correctly "and I am getting on in years" didn't he say a while back  that he would announce his political intentions in September (not sure which year) well Mr. Pinocchio you have 11 days to go.  He asks "what do you want from me"? the bloody truth would be a good start.

He's running.  If he weren't, he would have said something, or done something to protect is "legacy".  The big sissy does not want to debate.  He probably feels himself far too dignified to defend his contributions like beach chairs and something else.

And that's exactly how it will play out again if the puppet masters think the trough is leaking too much

He is sitting, albeit illegally, in a position of public office. How can he possibly say it is his own business. As a politician he is supposed to be transparent in his actions, ( I know, that is somewhat of an oxymoron ). All I can see from this is he is stating Thailand is his business, his toy, and he will do with it as he pleases.......

Not sure he knows the truth, or can recognize the truth for that matter. Historically the truth seems to have eluded him quite often.

Or 20 years from now?
