Pilotman
Can someone please, please tell me the correct Thai Emergency Numbers, Police, Fire, Ambulance, Road Side Rescue etc. Google, quite uselessly, gives several different numbers for each service. What are the definitively correct ones please. Thank you in anticipation.
allane
Start with this website: www.ogocare.com/1669-and-191 I am thankful I have never needed to use any of these numbers. It would be helpful if others could post any corrections or regional variations.
KMartinHandyman
You should investigate the route your call to 1669 will take in advance as that knowledge may help shape your expectations if you have an actual emergency. We live in a small city with a decent size government hospital with plenty of rescue pickup trucks and ambulance van services. I once convinced my wife to call 1669 after a biker was hit by a truck, had a severe leg injury and it appeared no assistance was being arranged. The call went to Khon Kaen, a large city 70 kilometers away and the ensuing talk about the problem and location of the patient were quite an eye opener. Eventually police and rescue showed up but I am not convinced their arrival had anything to do with them being referred from khon kaen 1669.
