You're using percentages to make the statistic sound convincing, but 85.9% of what? and compared to what population? Of course British citizens will account for most crimes in Britain as they make up the overwhelming majority of the population. (This is the same argument they are making in the US that illegal immigrants commit less crime) The meaningful comparison would be the number of sexual offences per 100,000 British citizens versus per 100,000 asylum seekers preferably adjusted for age and sex. More importantly show me the source for your 85.9%. The UK government has repeatedly said its national crime statistics do not break offenders down by asylum seeker status, so I'm interested in how you arrived at such a precise figure. And nobody is arguing that British citizens don't commit rape. The issue being discussed is whether importing people from societies with very different attitudes toward women, consent and gender equality creates an additional risk. The fact that British criminals already exist doesn't answer that question.
