saintserge
Hi guys, Can you please share your experience on the best private hospital/clinic in Ubon( for adults and juniors )? Visit Ubon Rak but not happy too much, many peoples and looks pricey. But price itself is not a problem, of course. Thanks! MINIMIGLIA
The government hospitals are just fine, the pricate ones no better just cost money for nothing.
Mister T
I always use Rajavej private for any outpatient stuff. Admission to hospital or kids doctors went to Ubon Rak, saved my life several years ago.
phibunmike
I use Ubon Rak; they also saved my wife. Rajavej is ok for minor things, but for example does not have MRI or neuro-surgeons.

My only experience of an Ubon Government hospital was waiting 7 hours for a specialist doctor (orthopaedics) at Sappasit, who was recommended by another orthopaedic consultant, who I had seen privately and relatively cheaply at her own clinic. The queue to see him when I arrived at 8am was already around 150. By mid afternoon the handling staff realised they were not going to get through all those waiting and started accelerating appointments (and ultimately some who arrived after us were told to come back the next day. Time pressures meant I was seen by the consultant's intern and then had one minute with the main man. Totally unacceptable. Never again. I'm sure those who use the government hospitals regularly have the experience to avoid such problems and have seen good things written about Warin Military Hospital (and Warin government hospital). My one time experience at Kantharalak government hospital was good on a reasonably routine matter. I was already aware that the best approach to getting regional specialists in Ubon is to ask around (including on ThaiV) for recommendations and then try to track down their private clinic where it will be generally half the cost of seeing them at Ubonrak, Rajavek or Sapasinter. In this case the ortho guy was on a secondment from Bangkok and there were no other options with him. For children I would go nowhere else than UbonRak for anything non-routine. The main consultant there is outstanding; we can't remember his family name but his first given name is Banlang (per my wife). I was also impressed by Ubonrak when my wife had a cesarean there 9 years ago.
Patriot
Totally agree with SantiSuk with regards to Dr Banlang for our kids. Steer well clear of the aging female Doctor by the name of Wichuda. BTW, UbonRak saved my life recently. Internal bleeding requiring a three hour Varices-capping operation. Doctor Tirawat was my man on this case. Please don’t be put off by the number of patients; the bottom floor / reception area is very well organized. I wont be going anywhere else in Ubon. saintserge
Government hospitals are fine but long lines... Thanks for sharing your experience with UbonRak, seems the best option here.
