Find the light doesn't affect those same people (due the relative Earth motion over time) ... and say it's been fixed! Let's not move too fast here. Eventually they will work out that the world is round and the rotation means that the sun is over the tropics (Capricorn on the 22nd of December and Cancer on the 21st of June) so the problem will only effect the observant ones for a short period of time.
