BANGKOK, 5th October 2018 (NNT) - The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in Bangkok and the southern region on October 5th, while temperatures have begun to drop in the northern and northeastern regions.

Residents of the southern region have been warned of flash flooding and mudslides, while those in the North, Northeast, Central, and East of Thailand will experience some rainfall. Thunderstorms are expected in 40% of the Bangkok Metropolitan Area.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Kong-Rey is likely to move into southern Japan and the Korean Peninsula during October 5th-7th. Those traveling to the area are encouraged to follow weather forecasts.

Temperatures in the mountains have begun to drop. Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai province yesterday measured a low of 3 degrees Celsius and a high of 15 degrees, while the Kew Mae Pan nature trail measured a low of 12 and a high of 18 degrees at the national park office. On October 4th, almost a thousand visitors arrived in the highlands to experience the cool weather.

It was raining monkeys and sea otters out there tonight at about 11

It's absolutely p*ssing down in Kanchanaburi..!!

And it looks to be blasting soon. The good news is I got a lime green Winnie the Pooh Umbrella from a brave soaked street guy last night who worked the crowd huddled outside the Thermae... 100 baht!

I really want a Hello Kitty one.

For once they are right 2 days solid heavy rain combined with a monumental thunderstorm  this morning that blew something up for a few hours.

Ah and the smell of wet dogs is permeating the air if you venture outside, whats with sitting in the rain girls ...stupid hounds

Precipitation I presume ?

More news from 'Big Joke': he banned John Fogerty for life entering Thailand after the artist announced plans to present a remix of "Have you ever seen the rain" in a Bangkok concert. BJ considers this as an attempt to tarnish the country's image.

Patts is in for another hammering judging by the clouds rolling over now.............:whistling:

It's arrived - the house is shuddering with the thunder; rain sheeting it down - I said 'sheeting'.  Bye-bye beach.
