Photo: Loveaholic Journey / Facebook BANGKOK — Tourists are not allowed to stay overnight on the Similan Islands from Tuesday on, the conservation department announced. The announcement, published on the Royal Gazette on Monday, said overnight visits increase water pollution that damages the islands’ ecology – especially corals and aquatic animals. The rule will apply to both liveaboard boats and inland accommodations. I agree but why not offer some islands for them where they can trample what they want? Just some newly built islands like Singapore did with Sentosa Island. quandow Posted October 9, 2018 Share Posted October 9, 2018 I stayed in the Similans on an overnight boat about 10 years back. No problems. Then "they" started invading.
