LOL - I actually used the Daily Mail just to check and see if my (erm....) re-routing software was working properly. Guess I'll just have to find another bad-boy for my confirmation run.

Its been up and running for i would say a year at least if not more.

I've always been able to access the DM, most of the time. The blocking seemed to be very hit-and-miss. Another way to access a particular story was always to look it up on Google News and the link usually worked. That also sometimes works for subscription sites where they only let you read the beginning of the article.

I've always found the 'blocking' is only on their home page.  Access through 'the back door' has always worked.

It was always possible to get the Daily Mail on my phone. The computer was OK with a VPN, but hot and miss sometimes.

It has been on line for months....

I was always delighted when a DM reading friend used to send me links to read and I could tell her it was blocked. The fact that we’re no longer friends might give a clue as to my thoughts about the DM !!

Always a stupid move anyway, anyone with an ounce of sense could get to it, more symbolic than anything else. 

 

 

 

Have noticed the porn sites are unblocked nowadays as well (looking for a friend).

I cant recall the last time I got blocked on any site.

The DM and the Mirror are my favorite newspaper. I read them daily.

Only ones that talk about migrants and Islamic extremists when these are up to no good.

Also often well illustrated articles about general interest subjects like the Vietnam War, WWI, WWII, etc

 

And, of course, I watch Fox News : Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Judge Jeanine and Greg Gutfeld.

Two posts mention sites that should definitely not be allowed by the censors.

I was able to access it through the back door,i linked on an article on Washington post,and got through,i only really read the football section,the rest was a lot of right wing nonsense with vile columnists such as Katie Hopkins,she has now been sacked,and is in deep doo doo after she lost a massive libel case,and had to sell her house,she is now in the Us working for some right wing organisation quite probably the Klu KluX Klan,no doubt the Mail have replaced her with another vile racist.
