Thai Elite, 15 year anniversary, interesting stats

Featured Replies

I read an interesting article regarding 'Thailand Privilege Card' (usually referred to as Thai Elite) in the October issue of the Pattaya Business Supplement.

My comment is NOT to discuss (debate) its 'value' but to highlight some points:

1) Has now been available 15 years

2) Sales (October, 17-July, 18) were 790 million/B an increase of 66.35% compared to last year same period as reflected in 1,310 new members (Net profit, 239 million/B)

3) Total members, as of 31/July/2018 are 6,192

4)Top 10 resident countries of members: China, UK, Japan, US, France, Austraila, Bangladesh, Russia, Germany, and Switzerland.

While I cannot verify any of this information, it IS consistent with my multiple 'chats' with TE personnel while transiting BKK.

Needless to say, I do NOT think they'll 'shut it down' due to its profitability, target market, and the increasing number of Chinese members.
