Israeli man charged over revenge porn

Featured Replies

Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday charged an Israeli businessman who allegedly posted nude photos and video clips of his Cambodian girlfriend on Facebook after they broke up in May. Major Sok Sotharith, a penal police officer, identified the accused as Tom Stenmets, 33, the owner of a hotel in Preah Sihanouk province who lives in a rental condo in the capital’s Chamkar Mon district.

“He was charged by the prosecutor with public defamation and pornography,” Maj Sotharith noted. “He is still being questioned by the investigating judge at the court.” He said Mr Stenmets was arrested at his condo by municipal penal police on Friday in accordance with a court warrant.

Maj Sotharith noted that the accused was sued by his girlfriend Nhim Sokleng, 28, the owner of Num Cakes Shop in the district. Ms Sokleng yesterday told reporters in front of the court that she came to know Mr Stenmets via Facebook in 2016. She noted that after chatting with each other over Facebook messenger, they formed a relationship.

Hell hath no fury like a woman.....porned? (Pun intended)

Can i see the evidence so i can make a more informed comment?

Atleast everybody knows who the women is now and where she works. Probably more damaging than the porn.

The guy was convicted in 2006 for possession of pedo porn (in Israel), got off with a suspended sentence and a fine. Moved to Cambodia later on.

i thought revenge porn was the ex becoming a prolific porn star to show the ex how well he or she is doing without her/him.

well if you are going to make porn movies or take naked pics this sort of thing is going to happen. luckily no one tries to take naked pics of me for some reason. think they are more interested in my per$onality.

If Donald Trump had never mentioned "grabbing them by the pussy" , this guy probably wouldnt have done this .

   This is Trumps fault

The degenerate needs some "quiet" time in the hoosegow to reflect upon his misdeed.

For those who did nto read the whole article:

"She said that in May, Mr Stenmets publicly posted her nude photos and the sex video clips after she broke up with him following an argument over his violence against her whenever he was drunk.

Ms Sokleng noted that when she confronted him about the revenge porn , Mr Stenmets threatened to kill her and accused her of posting them herself to gain fame."

Sounds quite the lovely chap.

What is it about some women that like to take naked images of themselves or let their boyfriends take inappropriate images of them?

Many women actually send naked or sexually explicit images of themselves to boyfriends or even friends. I`m married and would never consider taking naked photos or videos of my wife, even if she looked like a Park Lane model, what for?

If this is a trend then I have no sympathies for these women when their images turn up somewhere in the public domain bringing them unwanted attention.
